Memorial Service, Eugene “Ski” Skibinski, Friday Aug. 31, 2pm

Eugene “Ski” Skibinski

It is with profound sadness we announce the death of a parish member of The Church of the Annunciation. Ski died peacefully Saturday evening at his home in Woodstock where he longed to be reunited with his long time companion and friend Marianne Smith. Ski volunteered as an usher and in other various ministries of the church. Ski also loved to play the clarinet as often as he had a chance at our services. He was a great spirit and a fun person to be around. His fun personality and playful joy for life are a couple of things that made him so special in our midst.

“May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.” Amen

The memorial service and committal will be held at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Marietta, GA on Friday August 31st at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ECA Memorial Fund in his name at The Episcopal Church of the Annunciation, 1673 Jamerson Road, Marietta, GA 30066. Ski will be greatly missed and we are thankful for the contributions he made to the life, ministry and mission of the Church of the Annunciation.

Condolences can be sent to:

Grant, O Lord, to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that they may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those they love. And this we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

In Christ,

Father Paul +

  1. Both Ski and Marianne attended Christ Church Kennesaw several times during my time there. I enjoyed them immensely and had not heard about either of them passing. I am happy both are reunited in Heaven, as they were SUCH a great and loving couple together! God rest and keep them both!
