You may have heard that the men of the parish engage in fishing, fun, and fellowship at the Men’s Fishing Trip each fall, but do you know about the many other activities that the ECA Men’s Group enjoys?
Every other Saturday (see church calendar) at 7:30 am, the men of ECA meet for ‘Men’s Morning Cup’, a time of devotion and fellowship.
The men of the parish also gather to assist the ECW and St. Martha’s guild with setups for parish events such as picnics and memorial services. In addition, the Men’s Group takes on many roles at memorials services, including parking control, ushering, and memorial garden setups. The Men’s group takes on the grilling duties at the annual Pentecost Picnic and assists at the biannual Yard Sales. Men from this group perform essential grounds maintenance during clean-up days.
But it isn’t all hard work! In addition to the fun they have at the fishing trip, the Men’s group can be found gathering around the bonfire and enjoying an impromptu fish fry or barbecue.
