Southern Comforters use their interest in handwork to provide comfort both through in reach and outreach. Blankets are knitted, crocheted, quilted or simply tied and are provided to children who have been traumatized in some way through an organization called Project Linus. Prayer shawls are knitted and given to those who have experienced some major life change (good or bad) such as illness, death, physical move, or family issues.
No experience is necessary to participate in this activity.
