Since I’ve returned home from living in New York while attending seminary, I’ve noticed that I am not moving around as much as I used to. For those three years of seminary, I would guess that I walked several miles every day without even thinking about it as my feet were my “go to” mode of transportation. So, in response to my desire to be good to my own well-being overall I would like to offer a time of structured wellness practices that attend to body, mind, and spirit.
On Wednesdays following the noonday Eucharist I will meet those who would like to join me in the Activities Building. At 1:00pm we will begin with a 40-minute walk in the area, followed by a 30-minute session of yoga. We will finish the afternoon with a 20-minutes of Centering Prayer having us ending by 2:30pm. Please feel free to join in on any or all of these offerings for self-care.
