We wanted to share a recent email from Briget, a PE teacher and volleyball coach at  an Episcopal school in Baton Rouge. ECA recently partnered with AdoptAFloodFamily.org to provide Briget and her family of four with clothing and supplies after they lost so much during the flooding in Louisiana. Thank you to all who helped load the truck, donated goods, or sent love and support to the affected families.

Dear Desiree,

This is Briget. I first wanted to apologize for taking so long to send this. Everything you did for Todd, my boys and me was above and beyond anything we could have imagined. The time and thought you put into getting everything together for our family is amazing! I know you were trying to help a family in need but I wish there was a way to express how helpful everything you sent was because you really did more than help us replace things we lost, you brought smiles and hope when things seem so overwhelming. I wasn’t expecting anything for myself but it was so exciting to find boxes of clothes that were EXACTLY the types of clothes I would have picked out for myself. I have already worn a lot of the clothes and it feels nice to have things that are new and so useful. We spent our first nights in our home again and although we only finished 2 bedrooms and a bathroom we were able to set up a kitchen under our back patio with the dining room table you sent and have shared meals at a table again, as a family.

I will never be able to express our gratitude in a way that you deserve but I hope you know what a big difference you have made in our lives. Thank you so much!!!
