Our own Trinity Bell is involved with the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy, a selective national high school organization which is focused on impacting and helping communities. Trinity has asked for help from ECA to collect certain items through December.
I am part of the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy which is a selective national high school organization which is focused on impacting and helping communities. Each month I have a specific assignment that I must complete before the end of the month. This month, which we call “Do Good December”, we were split into groups to make a successful service project/movement.
My group decided we wanted to do something that impacted and benefited homeless people since we know this time of the year can be difficult. We chose to get bags/backpacks and fill them with some useful items (the list will be down below) that would be very beneficial to kids and adults that have been faced with homelessness. We will be giving these bags and backpacks to the Elizabeth Inn, which is a MUST Ministries facility located here in Marietta. At this facility, homeless people can go and take care of their needs. Currently we have a donation program going on at school where students can donate items and I was wondering if I could extend this to Annunciation.
I believe that our church would want to be involved with this movement, not only because we would be giving back to the community, doing God’s work, and helping many families and people, but also because we are already involved with familiar and involved with MUST Ministries. I would begin collecting items on December 5th and stop on December 31st. With the support of Annunciation, I believe this project would be even greater than it already is.
