Cheryl Farr is a cradle Episcopalian, born in Atlanta and raised in Tampa, Florida. She attended LaGrange College and graduated from Florida State University. Cheryl married Ronnie Farr 46 years ago and has 2 grown children and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Cheryl is a retired elementary teacher from the Henry County School System. She began her career teaching 3rd grade for 6 years. After that, she became the Gifted Resource Teacher working with gifted students in K-5. Cheryl was honored to create interesting, challenging lessons for her students and loved the challenge that they brought to the classroom. She has had the pleasure of serving on the Vestry at St. Simon’s Episcopal Church in Conyers and at St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church in McDonough. She has attended ECA since moving to Cherokee County in 2016. Cheryl has worked with the Buildings & Grounds committee since joining ECA and is currently heading up the Tea Planning Committee. She creates lessons and teaches our Sunday School students twice a month, and serves as a Lay Eucharistic Minister at the 10:30 service. Cheryl is happy to serve ECA in any capacity to which she is called.
